At the most basic level, a lead magnet is a free offer that you share with prospective patients or current viewers in exchange for an email address or other contact info.
You might have also heard them referred to as an “opt-in” or a “freebie.”
For example, an eBook about how dental treatment works.
Covering how long it works, what the various stages are, what people typically ask, examples, and generally what they can expect along the way.
A webinar in which you discuss the broad issue with your local patients in order to educate them on the subject. For example, if you have a dental issue, how to treat it, how to care for it, what are the benefits and drawbacks of teeth, and what local patients need to know would be a fantastic topic to address.
You can think of a video series as an alternative to the eBook route. Some people like to learn about things by reading them, while others would prefer to learn by watching videos. You could cover the same content about the dental issue and their treatment process in video form that interested people can opt-in and get access to.
Checklists are great lead magnets. You can create simple checklists in Word (or a more modern tool like Google Docs) that people can download and use. For instance, a checklist includes the guidelines for taking care of your teeth before and after dental treatment, the pros and drawbacks of dental treatment, and other information that covers more specific topics such as why a person should visit the dentist once a month.
